Corrections are treated as a priority. A page that has been corrected carries a dated note saying what changed, and the same entry appears in the log on this page. Nothing is edited quietly, because a reader who acted on the earlier version needs to be able to tell that it changed.
How to report an error
Every page ends with a link to report a problem with it, which carries the page reference for you. You do not need to know what is technically wrong — describe what you read, and what you think is inaccurate or out of date.
What happens next
- The report is acknowledged within two working days.
- The Editorial Lead checks the claim against the sources the page records.
- A clinical claim is referred to the Clinical Governance Lead before any change is published.
- The page is corrected, dated and annotated, and the entry is added to the log below.
